As this is my first message as the incoming President, my first order of
business is to thank Chad Kissinger for his hard work as the outgoing
President.

Secondly, I'd like to reiterate my statements from the Annual Dinner that I am
honored to be the acting President, and will work hard to not only continue the
traditions that have made the club what it is, but to look for new traditions that
will enhance our club's uniqueness.

In recent years, we have re-instituted the college scholarship program,
promoted transportation awareness, contests (like the art contest below), &
maintained a visibility in the community.

Under my Presidency, we will continue these things, and make a stronger effort
in transportation awareness & education.

Lastly, I would like to encourage other members to come out to our meetings
and get involved. We need your help!

Remember when ……..Back in the seventies most trucking companies held yearly
meetings and it was always the feedback among sales reps, “Where are you meeting for
you annual this year”? One of the companies AAA Trucking out of Trenton NJ always took
their employees to a vacation like resort. This particular year in 1977 AAA took everyone
to the Playboy club in Great Gorge, McAfee, NJ. What a weekend to “Remember
when”.      Reporter at large - Barry Rader
